Bye Bye Rust!

I don’t know why, but for some reason my basement causes my tools to rust. I didn’t have a problem with rust when I was working upstairs, but about three days after I had moved it all in the basement into my very own room dedicated just to my studio, the red stuff crept in and launched a sneak attack. Settling In – New Studio Space!

It is mine! All mine! I know it doesn’t look like much, but I am in love. This is my new studio space! My own space to create, and to do with whatever I please. I am so excited to get to move this stuff out of the bedroom! This photo just after lugging all this equipment down the stairs, so there is a bit of adjustment going on. Adventures in Resin – My First Attempt

So, one of the first pieces I have ever made is this lovely little talk bubble pendant. After I got my kiln and fired the pendant I could not figure out what I was going to color it with. A book I looked at had concrete, which seems fun, but I wasn't sure it would work for this. So, finally I just decided to add resin that I colored red and white.
