New Mehndi Inspired Jewlery Sneak Peek

I just finished polishing these beauties and wanted to share a sneak peek of the new pattern I have been working on. I have a few pieces that I am finishing up with this design and will be listing them in the shopping section and the Abella Blue Etsy shop throughout the day on Friday. I have been really excited about these and will post more pictures as I finish the necklaces and other earrings. I am just waiting on a new shipment of stones to complete the design. Thanks for Looking, ~Jessica

New Work – Boyfriend Ring

Since beginning to make my own jewelry pretty much everyone in my family has gotten a piece that I have especially made for them. Everyone, except my boyfriend. So… this one's for you babe :)  Hope you like it! I made this piece out of 16 gauge sterling silver sheet metal. Once I cut out the correct size I stamped the words, "I love you" and engraved a little heart on the inside. Then I soldered the piece together and shaped it on my ring mandrel to make it round. Not all those who wander – Handmade Blue Chacedony Necklace

This piece was designed for a monthly challenge held by the Aspiring Metalsmiths Etsy Team. New Gemstone piece – Agua Nueva Agate

The design for this piece went through many changes, and in the end I decided that the stone spoke for itself and needed to be the focal point of the piece. […]more

New Work – Black Rose Pendant

It is Wednesday again, and that means I get to tell you a little bit about one of my pieces. This pear shaped pendant is my newest creation. The stone on this piece is called Rainbow Obsidian, and is very hard to photograph. The stone looks black in the shade, but in the light this stone shows its true colors. It almost looks like a puddle of oil with blues and greens and browns shining across the surface. I had a little trouble with this pendant as I could not decide what it was I wanted sawn out of the […]more
