I used to hate making rings. Really hate it, but I have began to warm up to them, and now I am going to have to start trying to NOT make rings. Rings are challenging and I always am learning new things when I try to design and construct a ring. The first one is an abstract daisy design with a bright blue Amazonite. In the second ring the stone looks like a frothy mix of strawberry, chocolate and vanilla, and reminds me of a neapolitan ice cream. This week I am going to try and get a few […]more

Week 5 – A ring for me and a new pendant
Here are the pieces for week 5. The ring is a version of the boyfriend ring that I made a bit narrower for myself. The pendant is a dainty flower with a bezel set pearl. I really love how this one turned out.
THaW #3 – Fine Silver Daisy Frame Pendant
Here is my latest entry for "Thing a Week". It is a fine silver pendant that is about 1 inch square with a clear cubic zirconia set in the center of a daisy shape. I made this as a custom order for a lovely customer. Here is the back of the pendant that was personalized just for her.

Thing A Week #6 – Man in the Moon Earrings

Thing A Week #4 – Blue Lace Agate Leaf Ring
I was out of town last week so I am a little late posting these, but here it is! My latest "thing a week" is a blue lace agate sterling silver ring. Hope you like it!
THaW #2 – Etched Copper Faux Wood Earrings
I finally took the plunge and tried etching some copper. These two came out really well. I got to use my new disc cutter too! Bonus! The pattern on this was drawn with an office store paint pen. I then put it in an acid solution to etch out the areas not covered with the paint. Once it was finished I used Liver of Sulphur (Smells like stinky eggs, Sorry dear boyfriend!) to give it the patina. I also hand made the ear wires from 20g sterling silver wire. Etching was so much fun. It is crazy to see the […]more
